"So what CAN I eat?"
This must be the most common phrase that I hear in my day-to-day life as a nutritionist and natural healthcare practitioner.
And honey, I hear you.
You've just come away from a doctor's appointment or a meeting with your naturopath, and they've dropped the bombshell on you:
You're celiac. Gluten-intolerant. Dairy-intolerant. Maybe you can't have sugar anymore. Or coffee.
And the room starts to spin just a little bit as you go through your daily meals and realize just how much of your diet revolves around this exact food which is suddenly forbidden. Your appointment is almost up and you desperately plea, "So what CAN I eat?"
"Oh just Google some recipes".
I can't tell you how many times people have relayed this exact scenario to me. Sometimes the NDs send their patients my way, but more often than not you feel left to flounder and try and make massive changes alone. As well as continuing to work and look after kids and manage the household. Yikes.
Well I am here to say that you never need utter those five fatal words again.
